The Global Research & Industry Alliance of the MOST has accumulated fruitful research and development results in the fields of AI and smart manufacturing.  In order to help Taiwan's industries to incorporate the Edge AI technology into the field of application services, the Global Research & Industry Alliance and Taiwan IoT Technology and Industry Association (TwIoTA) jointly held the Global Research & Industry Alliance x Edge AI New Future technology exchange and forum at B1 conference room of the Taipei Computer Association and invited experts from ITRI, Taiwan Institute of Economic Research, Powerchip, MiTAC, NCTU and NTHU to deliver speeches on the industry trends and technological applications of Edge AI.  NCU, NTUT, NCTU, NTHU, FCU, and FEU also showcased their researches on Edge AI used in the smart manufacturing, security surveillance, and healthcare fields to reinforce industry-academia collaboration and help businesses shorten their R&D cycles and reduce costs, which can improve industries' competitive advantages.


Tzi- Cker Chiueh: Adopt the distributed edge computing architecture for 5G applications and realize accelerated video surveillance, smart manufacturing and smart retail.
Yung-Chen Li: Industry-academia collaboration to break through the technological bottleneck in smart manufacturing and digital transformation, accelerating enterprise transformation.
Yong-Nian Ge: Change memory access architecture to break through the data access bottleneck, greatly improving the AI processing efficiency in chips.
