The 16th National Innovation Award ceremony was held in Nangang Exhibition Center on December 6, 2019. Taipei Medical University’s research teams has won six awards in Academic Research Innovation category.
 
The six awards included (1)“Drug development of the novel anticancer drug MPT0E028” by Professor Liou, Jing-Ping’s team (2) “Personalized cancer medicine with in vitro expanded circulating tumor cells” by Professor Chiou, Jeng-Fong’s team (3)”Systemic Safety Cellular Therapy Product: The Development for the Clinical grade in Free Risk of Tumor Promotion Allogeneic MSC Products from Maternal-part Placenta (Zi He Che)” by Professor Huang, Yen-Hua’s team (4) “A new way to Engineer Cell Sheet for Cell Therapy in Regenerative Medicine” by Professor Tseng, How’s team (5) “Novel Anti-Cancer Armed T Cell Therapeutic Technology” by Associate professor Chuang, Kuo-Hsiang (6) “Research & Development of a Transcranial Direct Current Stimulator with Special Waveforms for Clinic Rehabilitation Therapy” by Professor Peng, Chih-Wei’s team.
 
In Taiwan, National Innovation Award is the highest honor for research teams in BIO and Health, besides the awards made those teams who put effort in R&D to be seen. This year, Taipei Medical University and its affiliated hospitals won eleven awards showing that TMU’s R&D capabilities has been continuously improved and been recognized.
