The signing of the Memorandum of Cooperation was witnessed by John Jorritsma, Mayor of Eindhoven in Netherlands, Guy Wittich, representative of the Netherlands Trade and Investment Office (NTIO), Kelly W. Hsieh, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mei-Hua Wang, Vice Minister of Economic Affairs, Chun-I Tu, Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology of the Ministry of Science and Technology, and Ying-Chung Chen, the Vice President of National Sun Yat-Sen University.
In mid-December, GLORIA (Global Research & Industry Alliance) of NSYSU in Southern Taiwan and the High-Tech Campus Eindhoven in the Netherlands will hold a Demo Day at the High-Tech Campus Eindhoven in the Netherlands. The Demo Day is not only for the 12 groups of professors from six universities in South Taiwan to publish research results and for the Startup Team to demonstrate how to connect with the overseas resources network, but also the XL Day to present the startup ecosystem of the new accelerator, HighTechXL. It is expected that the special event day will gather innovators, entrepreneurs and investors from different countries and they will meet the research institutions, share technical practices, promote technology communication, stimulate innovation, explore cooperation opportunities, and create an efficient communication platform between Taiwan and the Netherlands for technology and capital exchanges.
On May 29th, at the Startup Networking dinner in the Netherlands Trade and Investment Office (NTIO), witnessed by John Jorritsma, Mayor of Eindhoven in Netherlands, Guy Wittich, representative of the Netherlands Trade and Investment Office (NTIO), Kelly W. Hsieh, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mei-Hua Wang, Vice Minister of Economic Affairs, Chun-I Tu, Deputy Director of the Department of Academia-Industry Collaboration and Science Park Affairs under the Ministry of Science and Technology, and Ying-Chung Chen, Vice President of National Sun Yat-Sen University, Shih-Nan Chang, the CEO of GLORIA of NSYSU in Southern Taiwan, and Cees Admiraal, the Director of the High-Tech Campus Eindhoven in the Netherlands, signed a memorandum of cooperation. In order to encourage investors from Taiwan and the Netherlands to invest in the high-tech park and the entrepreneurial teams from GLORIA of NSYSU in Southern Taiwan, both parties decided to form a strategic partnership to exchange innovative experiences, jointly organize activities and create an innovative ecosystem. In mid-December, the High-Tech Campus Eindhoven in the Netherlands will hold an Innovative Technology Demo Day for GLORIA of NSYSU in Southern Taiwan at The Strip Conference Center at the High-Tech Campus Eindhoven in the Netherlands to the High-Tech Campus Eindhoven in the Netherlands.
Since its inception, GLORIA of NSYSU in Southern Taiwan has not only been committed to business promotion, but also actively expands its international vision. It plans to regularly display and participate in overseas exhibitions every year, and organizes teams to exchange technology development trends with other teams from different countries. In July this year, it will conduct overseas visits to Israel and the Netherlands for science and technology cooperation.
In addition, through the collaboration of the High-Tech Campus Eindhoven in the Netherlands (High-Tech Campus Eindhoven), from July 30th to August 1st, personnel of GLORIA of NSYSU in Southern Taiwan visited the High-Tech Campus Eindhoven with great innovation and entrepreneurial potential, the HighTech XL as the Innovation Accelerator, and "Pivot Park Screening Centre" as the high-end pharmaceutical R&D infrastructure for accelerated development of new drugs that provides screening services with 3 fully automated robotic systems, and made superb experience sharing. In addition to understanding the latest trends in the world and developing the R&D capabilities of the Alliance, the main purposes also include promoting GLORIA of NSYSU in Southern Taiwan and attracting international members to join the Alliance, so as to align the research and development energy of the academic community with the development needs of the industry, jointly promote industrial upgrading and create a more complete ecological chain for innovation and technology development.
The CEO of GLORIA (International Academia-Industry Alliance of NSYSU in Southern Taiwan), Shih-Nan Chang and the Director of High-Tech Campus Eindhoven in the Netherlands, Cees Admiraal, signed the Memorandum of Cooperation.
